A possible setback already

Yikes, I got an email from Silkweaver tonight. As I had feared might happened, the linen I ordered for the RR is backordered :-(

I will give it a little while, but may have to go with something else. It has been a month now that I am waiting on two pieces of 40 ct from them...

I will let you know if this changes anything about my theme!!

Its a pain when you can't get what you want when you want it isn't it and its always the thing that you need. Its not 40ct we are stitching on is it for your RR?

I changed my mind about what fabric to use for this RR about 6 times. But I finaly went with something very neutral and not too high count. My thought being that with so much going on in my neighborhood, I didn't want my fabric to fight it. But , not an easy descision.

I also had agonies of indecision regarding fabric choice, and had specially ordered a piece from Silkweaver. It came in plenty of time, but it was so different than the scan ... it wasn't right for the project.

Anyway, my blabbing on is meant to say "good luck getting the fabric you want, when you want it!"

The beauty of doing our own square first is that if something comes up (like backordered fabric) you could actually stitch your own house at the end.

Hi - No, the 40 ct is something I ordered for something else... was just trying to say their backorder system is taking forever. I ordered 32 ct for this RR :-)

I am hoping to get it in time to be able to stitch my house... that way it will give you all an idea of what type of neighborhood I want.

However, I have come to the conclusion that I don't really want to set rules on my RR afterall, except for little things like having the colors compliment each other and keeping connectivity to the piece (all in a line, keeping the flow) - I started to think I was overthinking this whole thing last week!!! I will make mine really easy for everyone :-) If my fabric comes in time, that is! LOL!
